Water Line Construction

EPA is hosting a public information meeting to discuss the upcoming start of the installation of the water line on April 23, 2019 at 7 pm at  the Durham Public Library.

Water line construction is expected to begin in May/June 2019 and continue through 2021.

Explanation of Significant Differences

The EPA issued an Explanation of Significant Differences on September 12, 2018. The Administrative Record for this decision can be reviewed here.

EPA is installing the long term monitoring wells during August and September 2018.

Institutional controls are required for this site.

This site requires ICs because a decision document, such as a Record of Decision, has documented some level of contamination and/or remedy component at the site that would restrict use of the site. These ICs are required to help ensure the site is used in an appropriate way and that activities at the site do not damage the cleanup components. These ICs will remain in place for as long as the contamination and/or cleanup components stay on site.  In order to determine the current status of ICs for this site, the site contacts should be consulted.
