Announcements and Key Topics

EPA NPL field teams have conducted a field assessment of this Site and determined that no related storm impacts or releases have occured as a result of Hurricane Florence.

In March 2018, EPA participated in the second of three-expected meetings to scope and plan early remedial actions based on principal source waste material [primarily Cesium-137] for the Lower 3 Runs Integrator Operable Unit. Determining potential treatment options for early actions is the primary objective. The third meeting is scheduled for April 9, 2018.

Also in March 2018, EPA conducted Five-Year Review walkdowns for operating equipment remedies across the site. No issues were noted in the various operating treatment systems, both active and passive.
