The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has proposed a plan to clean up the Horton Iron and Metal Site which addresses both environmental impacts and risks to human health resulting from former fertilizer manufacturing and ship demolition at the Site. The public is encouraged to comment on the plan during the comment period beginning April 16, 2018 and ending May 16, 2018. EPA will also host a public meeting to present the proposed plan and answer questions on Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in room 527 of Union Station at Cape Fear Community College located at 411 N. Front Street, Wilmington, North Carolina.

Public Participation Opportunities
