About the Superfund Redevelopment Initiative
This nationally coordinated effort provides EPA and its partners with a process to return Superfund sites to productive use. Learn more at Superfund Redevelopment Initiative.
Redevelopment at the Site
This site is a closed landfill, so reuse options are limited to activities that will not compromise the cover or disturb the waste.
EPA encourages the productive reuse of former Superfund Sites with the only restriction being that the use of the site must not affect the remedy protectiveness.
Economic Activity at the Site
As of December 2018, EPA did not have economic data related to on-site businesses, or economic data were not applicable due to site use. View information about redevelopment economics at Superfund sites.
Renewable Energy at the Site
A solar feasibility study for the site was completed in March 2017. This document is available to the public and is intended for potential developers. It presents various scenarios as well as the advantages and disadvantages of using the site for solar power generation.
