About the Superfund Redevelopment Initiative
This nationally coordinated effort provides EPA and its partners with a process to return Superfund sites to productive use. Learn more at Superfund Redevelopment Initiative.
Redevelopment at the Site
In 2002, Haywood Vocational Opportunities, Inc. (HVO) purchased the 6-acre parcel. In 2004, HVO redeveloped the property/site into a vocational training center and a manufacturing facility with multiple parking areas. Fencing around the site limits access. The site's cleanup activity supports commercial and industrial land uses.
Economic Activity at the Site
As of December 2017, EPA had data on one on-site business. This business employed 416 people and generated an estimated $35,660,000 in annual sales revenue. View additional information about redevelopment economics at Superfund sites.
