Redevelopment at the Site

EPA gave a Superfund Redevelopment planning grant to the City of Belton to support the site’s return to beneficial industrial use. The city has planned a 900,000-square-foot development with light manufacturing facilities, office showrooms and stores after cleanup. The City of Belton estimates that the site’s redevelopment will generate $50 million in annual payroll revenues, making a major economic impact in the community.
