The Pierson's Creek site is located in an industrial area of Newark, New Jersey. The site consists of Pierson’s Creek, which discharges to Newark Bay, located approximately 1.5 miles downstream of its headwaters, and several sources of contamination to the creek, including the Troy Chemical Corporation facility. The Troy Chemical Corporation facility, which manufactures antimicrobial and antifungal paint additives and related products, is located just upstream of Pierson's Creek.
