Superfund Site Profile

The 40-acre Delilah Road site is located in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. The area was originally used for a sand and gravel excavation operation. It was later converted into a solid waste disposal area accepting municipal and construction wastes and some hazardous wastes. Facility operations contaminated groundwater and soil. Construction of the site’s remedy has been completed. Long-term groundwater monitoring is ongoing. EPA took the site off the Superfund program’s National Priorities List in October 2009.
