Superfund Site Profile

The Cinnaminson Ground Water Contamination site covers about 400 acres in the Cinnaminson and Delran townships in Burlington County, New Jersey. Landfill and mining operation were located on the site from the 1950s to 1980. Groundwater at the site is contaminated with arsenic and volatile organic compounds, or VOCs. Cleanup is ongoing – a groundwater pump-and-treat system operated on site and is currently being evaluated to determine the need for its continued operation. The site does not pose an immediate threat to human health or the environment
