Superfund Site Profile

The Naval Air Station (NAS) Cecil Field site is located in northeastern Florida, primarily in Duval County, with the southernmost part in Clay County. The former base occupies about 17,200 acres. Base operations contaminated soil, wastes and groundwater with hazardous chemicals. Following site investigations, the site’s long-term cleanup is ongoing.
