Background

Fort Riley is located in north-central Kansas, north-northeast of Junction City and west of Manhattan, Kansas. The installation occupies approximately 101,733 acres in Clay, Geary, and Riley Counties. Fort Riley is an active U.S. Army facility under the jurisdiction of Installation Management Command (IMCOM) with a primary mission to train forces to meet joint force requirements across the full spectrum of current and future operations.
