EPA Superfund Program: ARRCOM (DREXLER ENTERPRISES), RATHDRUM, ID

Superfund Site Profile

The 1-acre ARRCOM (Drexler Enterprises) site is located about three miles southwest of Rathdrum, Idaho. From 1960 until the facility was abandoned in 1982, ARRCOM operated a waste oil recycling facility on-site. The waste oils contained a variety of organic solvents, lead and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs). Activities at the site, such as abandoning storage tanks and trucks and producing hazardous waste materials, contaminated soil and sludge with hazardous chemicals. Following cleanup, EPA removed the site from the Superfund program’s National Priorities List (NPL) in 1992.
