The 52-acre Boeing Tulalip Test site lies within the Tulalip Tribes Indian Reservation in Marysville, Washington. At the start of World War II, the U.S. Army condemned and purchased the property and established the Tulalip Backup Ammunition Storage Depot for use during the war. In 1949, the Army sold the land back to the Tulalip Tribes, who then leased the depot site to the Army and later to the Boeing Company. Investigation and cleanup of the site is ongoing.
