The Moses Lake Wellfield Contamination site is located in Moses Lake, Washington. The site includes parts of the former Larson Air Force Base, Grant County Airport and some areas south of the airport. The U.S. government established the Larson Air Force Base in 1942 and closed the base in 1965. Former base operations and industrial activities associated with the aircraft industry contaminated soil and groundwater with hazardous chemicals. Remedial action is underway.
